The fight in the US, India and elsewhere over the TikTok app is more than just a fight for sovereign security and privacy.

Yes, on some level and in the public arena that’s the way it being framed, but then your throw into the mix the UK government welcoming TicTok to its shores and explore under the hood at the multitude of other businesses the US$140 billion ByteDance (creators of TicTok) have, the super-algorithm TikTok’s developed, a paranoid US President, an India government that has issues with their Chinese neighbours and stuff all that inside one of the worlds fastest growing tech titans, that originated in China and you have the makings of a really great conversation.
