Artificial Intelligence (AI) has already become an integral part of our lives, transforming and threatening to forever change everything around us.

But, as AI technology continues to advance, it also presents challenges, what is real, what is human and what is just plain downright made up digital Botsh!t (false or misleading information) and AI Hallucinations (highly convincing false content).

Working off the old adage “if enough people say it, it must be true”, these widely repeated AI generated and fuelled fake images and unsubstantiated gossip could potentially sway public opinion, changing human beliefs and the course of our future.

In this week’s on-air chat on Hong Kong Radio 3, Phil Whelan and I explore the recent incident involving deepfake explicit videos of Taylor Swift, the implications of generative AI and online misinformation, and the need for proactive measures to address these issues.
