{Radio} World Changing Aussie Inventions

Australian’s invented Wi-Fi, the cochlear implant, pacemakers, the hills hoist, ultrasound and even Google Maps and in this week’s radio segment in tribute to Australia Day, Hong Kong Radio 3’s Phil Whelan and I chat about great Australian inventions of the past and also pay homage to one of Australia’s greatest unsung inventor hero’s Henry Sutton, who amongst hundreds of inventions and patents, in 1876 patented 20 different types of telephones and the telephane (transmitting both voice and images) and in 1899 designed and built one of Australia’s first cars.
