{Radio} Where do space babies come from?
Space is the next big corporate frontier with tourism, medicine, mining, farming, exploration, technology, housing, manufacturing and more all looking beyond earth and into space for the next bottom life profit.
These new players are not just governments, they are cashed up private and public corporations on the hunt for new adventures and great profits.
They are the equivalent of the Dutch East India Company and every other explorer sent to far lands to bring back riches, full of bravado, possibility and thoughts of treasure and if history teaches us anything, little concern for what has come before them and the longer term damage they may cause.
In this week’s regular on air chat Radio Hong Kong 3’s Phil Whelan and I chat about the future of space exploration and industry, who owns it, who wants it, what do they want, who has jurisdiction over it, who cleans up the mess and takes out the rubbish left behind and where do space babies come from?
