We all wear them and for millennium clothes’ main purpose is to cover us up, make us look and feel good, keep us safe and help us stay warm or cool, but perhaps their capable of so much more.

Smart clothing is one of the next big “things” to hit our lives, a\d what what was once passive and non-utilitarian, now with the help of technology is becoming active and utilitarian.

Imagine clothes that can change colour to match your needs and environment.

What about clothes that can dynamically and independently change density to help regulate your body temperature?

Behind the scenes in the world of fashion, we’re seeing retailers like Amazon and Zara using Artificial Intelligence, social media and a deep understanding of their users to alter production runs hour by hour. Yesterday’s favourite dress colour searched for on on social’s was blue, lets make more blue dresses now and ship them out to stores tomorrow.

And doesn’t it seems to make sense that dirty clothes should be able to “speak” to a wash machine and tell it what stains its has and how best to wash it and why can’t the clothes we wear also monitor our health vitals, let us know when something wrong or call for help if and when we can’t.
