Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a notion that’s been around since the beginning of humanity, when we believed some people, objects and gods had super thinking powers. We institutionalized it when classical philosophers found ways to describe human thinking using symbols and flow diagrams and in the 1940’s we built the first mechanical programmable digital computer, which many believed was the beginning of creating an artificial brain.

I have difficultly in saying AI currently exists, because we don’t know really know how the brain works and can’t build a copy of something we don’t know enough about.

And, humans make really complex multi faceted decisions often using seemingly random facts, opinions and beliefs to arrive at an answer.

AGI Artificial General Intelligence sits far more comfortably with me, in a world where Machine Learning ML and super fast computing speeds currently combine to conjure up the magic trick of AI .
