2024: A Futuristic Outlook

In our first segment for 2024 Hong Kong Radios’ Phil Whelan and I chat about some of my 2024 foresights and what the year ahead might hold for us. Let’s dive in!

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Advancements: In 2024, we can expect to see significant progress in the field of AI. Companies like Google are already developing new types of AI that are more interpretive and user-friendly. AI will continue to impact various industries and change the way we interact with technology.

Cybersecurity Focus: As AI becomes more prevalent, the need for robust cybersecurity measures will also increase. With the rise of AI-based technologies, there is a growing concern about data breaches, phishing attacks, and other cyber threats. Data analytics training will be key to adapting to the challenges posed by AI.

Climate Change Politics: Climate change will continue to be a significant concern in 2024. It will not only remain a topic of discussion in political circles but also in business and other sectors. Climate change will become weaponized, leading to new debates and actions to address its impact.

Workplace Evolution: The COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant changes to the way we work, and some of these changes will persist in 2024. Companies and governments may push for a return to office-based work, causing a shift in remote work practices. The way we work will continue to evolve, and new work models may emerge.

Demographic Shifts: The retirement of baby boomers from the workforce will result in shifts in demographics and power dynamics. Younger generations will have a greater influence on politics, culture, and the economy. This changing demographic landscape will shape societal trends and priorities.

Stay tuned for more insights and discussions on these topics. As always, the future is a fascinating place to explore! 😊
